The duo Live Sound-Designers (LSD's) formed during an overnight improvisation session in September 2015 in Jaworzno, Poland. This session came together after extensive conversations between Dawid Frydryk and Ariel Proksa about their musical and extra-musical interests.
The result was the album “Trumpetronica” — a focus on and exploration of sound itself, where timbre and texture take precedence over other musical features. Combining a single acoustic instrument (flugelhorn) with analog synthesizers and spatial effects, LSDs' music creates an immersive electroacoustic free improvisation sharing qualities with ambient music.
Ariel Proksa aka ArxProAudio — sound designer, producer, musician, fingerdrummer, percussionist. An enthusiast of electronic, analog and virtual instruments, recording acoustic instruments, mixing & mastering tracks. A huge fan and long-time user of Propellerhead Reason. Occasionally, an instructor at the workshop of sound design.
Playing djembe for 30 years, for several years a member of the drummers orchestra and an instructor at the djembe school. A half of the Live Sound - Designers duo, which plays improvised electroacoustic music.
At present a member of the Navi Retlav Studio Team, specializing in sound design, audio editing, field recording, music production, software beta testing and preset creation. Currently collaborating directly with brands such as Propellerhead Software, Arturia, Lennar Digital, Blamsoft, Zvork, Rob Papen, D16 Group Audio Software, Lab: One Recordings, Jiggery-Pokery Sound, Nucleus SoundLab, New Atlantis Audio, McDSP, Pitchblende, Selig Audio and more.
